Hello!
My name is Mary Solon and I'm so pleased to still be designing kitchens, baths, offices and other areas, for almost four decades! I've been fortunate to work with many, many clients over the years on some great projects! Whether new construction or remodeling, I've designed spaces, assisted with product selection, ordered cabinets & countertops and have overseen the projects to completion. I am able to work with your preferred contractor, plumber and electrician or recommend people in the trades if needed. Professional service and expert advice for every client, every time!
My Story
I grew up in Central Illinois in a family with six other siblings. Proud mom of a grown son and daughter and happy Grandma to my six year old granddaughter, 2 year old grandson and two more grandsons born a day apart in October 2023. To be closer to family, I moved to Central Illinois in November 2022. A rescued beagle mix puppy I named Bisou, has stolen my heart-he is my unofficial office assistant! Travelling, being with family, listening to live classic rock and remodeling my new home keep me very busy.

I've been a kitchen designer since graduating from Illinois State University in 1986, with a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences/Housing & Environmental Design. My career has been challenging, rewarding and exciting over the past 38 years. I earned my C.K.D. (Certified Kitchen Designer) status in 1991. As a C.K.D. I am required to have continuing education in order to keep up with trends and requirements in the kitchen and bath industry. Cabinet company training and attendance at trade show conferences are two of the ways I use to get the hours required to keep my certification through the National Kitchen & Bath Association.
